Regionalism can help Assam to develop: Prafulla Mahanta

Former AssamCM Prafulla Mahanta during a press meet said he will support former Congress CMTarun Gogoi if he switches from nationalism to regionalism on Thursday.

Mahanta saidregionalism is still at a latent state but for the development of a stateregionalism is a must. It needs to grow and now is the right time.

Inconnection to the Baghjan fire, Mahanta said according to the districtadministration, 16 families have been affected. Asom Gana Parishad members areworking diligently to help the affected families of Baghjan fire. He urges the governmentto reach out to the vulnerable and thinks a dialogue between the government andOIL authorities can help resolve the matters.
