Police driver thrashed in Kakopothar

Tensedsituation prevailed at Maithang village in Kakopothar area under Tinsukiadistrict after a group of locals thrashed a Kakopothar Police Station officialon Wednesday evening.

Accordingto reports, the locals in the village attacked the driver of Kakopothar PS forallegedly involving in anti-social activities with a woman in the village. Thepoliceman sustained serious injuries during the incident.

Meanwhile,police officers have been deployed in the village to control any untowardsituation following the incident.
