Salaries of contractual teachers released

After teachers, who had been hired in a contractual basis, have been staging repeated protests against the irregularity in payment of their salaries; the Assam government has released the funds on Thursday.

Salaries of the month April and May have been released.

This move of the government has sparked a ray of hope for 6500 contractual teachers.
