Sonari police arrested three Panchayat secretaries on Saturday who allegedly bribed five Auditors to cover up the corruption in village Panchayats in Sonari. The three Panchayat Secretaries namely Surajit Pal, Khagen Setia and Sukeshwar Googoi allegedly bribed five Auditors of the AG office.

On Sept 20, the five auditors were caught red handed by the police taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh 34 thousand at hotel Greenview's room no 7 in Sonari. The operation was headed by ADC Pranab Bora.
