Amid worsening ties between India and Pakistan pertaining to scrapping of Article 370 and ending special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the latter has suspended the Delhi-Lahore-Delhi 'Dosti' bus service.
It may be noted that the bus service first began in February 1999, but was suspended after the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. However, it had been restarted in July 2003.
According to news agency PTI report, Pakistan Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed said that the move follows the decisions that had been taken during Pakistan's National Security Committee (NSC) meeting held on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, Saeed said, "In line with the decisions of NSC Pak-India bus service is suspended" .

Earlier on Friday, Pakistan suspended the Thar Express train service with India which links the two countries across the Rajasthan border and on Thursday, it stopped the Samjhauta Express following Islamabad's unilateral decision to downgrade bilateral ties.
