AndhraPradesh is on high alert following the rising water levels in Krishna Riverafter Kerala and Karnataka. Authorities are keeping an eye on Kurnool andVijayawada along with 48 villages along the river bank.
Meanwhile,the death toll in Maharashtra rose to 48 while Kerala was put on alert asfloods battered the states, killing over 200 people and causing widespreaddamage.
The Keralastate government announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 10,000 for disaster dislocatedfamily while the relatives of those who lost their lives in the disaster willreceive an ex-gratia of Rs. 4lakh. The government also announced that peoplewhose houses were fully damaged will get Rs. 4lakh while the fisherfolk andfamilies will get 15kg free rice.
Moreover,high alert has also been issued in Kerala as Kannur, Malappuram and Kozhikodedistricts of Kerala are on red alert while the ten districts of Kollam, Pathanamthitta,Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kasaragodeare on orange alert.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's residence which is on the banks of Krishna River is also under flood threat along with various regions of the state. The ground floor of his house has reportedly been evacuated.

However,the cities of Kurnool and Vijayawada are on alert following rising water levelsin Krishna River and around 48 villages along Krishna River bank have also beenalerted.
Meanwhile, Skymet weather has predicted flooding in various places in the state of Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior and Indore.

The deathtoll in Karnataka shot up to 58 after 4 more bodies were recovered onWednesday. As many as 1,160 relief camps have been set up where clean drinkingwater, food and other relief materials are being provided to nearly four lakhpeople.
