A dayafter Uddhav Thackeray took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra; the ShivSena on Friday said termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Thackeray's elderbrother. The party mouthpiece Saamana has also said that the newly formedgovernment led by Thackeray will now act on the mistakes of the previousDevendra Fadnavis government.
"For farmers of Maharashtra, relief has to come from the central government. Even though there are problems for Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray and Modi ji are like brothers for each other. Therefore for his younger brother of Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a responsibility," the editorial of Saamana read.
Thearticle further read that PM Narendra Modi doesn't belong to one party and mustfulfill its responsibilities towards Maharashtra.
Itmay be mentioned here that the relations between Shiv Sena and BJP soured whenThackeray-led Sena insisted that the BJP should share the CM's chair. The BJPturned down the demand and the Sena walked out of their three-decade oldalliance.
