Mika Singh banned by Indian film industry

Amidthe rising tension between India and Pakistan, Bollywood singer Mika Singh hasbeen banned by the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) for performingat an event in Karachi.

Thedecision was taken after a 30-second video clip uploaded by a Pakistanijournalist went viral on social media. The video showed Mika performing at theevent. It may be mentioned here that India served all artistic and social tieswith Pakistan after the removal of Article 370.

"AICWAbans and boycott singer Mika Singh from the Indian film industry for performingat a high profile event at Karachi dated August 8, 2019," AICWA PresidentSuresh Shyamlal Gupta stated in a letter.

Reportssuggested that the event was organised by former Pakistani President PervezMusharraf's close relative.
