AAMSU stages protest in New Delhi, alleges minorities’ harassment

The All Assam Minorities Students' Union (AAMSU) staged a protest in New Delhi's Jantar Mantar today.

The organisation has sat in the dharna against NRC Coordinator Prateek Hajela, those regional organisations who staged alleged dramas pertaining to the deportation of the illegal immigrants and the government for harassing people in the name of registering objections before the NRC publication.

AAMSUhas demanded examination of DNAs, for those who are unable to produce anydocuments or proofs of being an Indian Citizen, in order to include names inthe NRC list.

Theunion has also alleged that Hajela is working by keeping the Supreme Court indarkness.Claiming that notdisclosing the identity of the complainant is against fundamental rights andthat false complainants should be punished, demanded AMSU.
