Assam Congress protests against Modi’s comment on Rajiv Gandhi

The Assam Congress staged a protest in front of the party regional headquarters, Rajiv Bhavan at ABC, in Guwahati on Monday.

The protest was againstPrime Minister Narendra Modi's comment on Rajiv Gandhi alleging him of beingthe most corrupt leader India has ever known.

Referring to the Boforscase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked Congress presidentRahul Gandhi and termed former PM Rajiv Gandhi as "corrupt no.1". The PM madethe comment in a rally in Uttar Pradesh.

"Your father was termed 'Mr Clean' by hiscourtiers, but his life ended as 'Bhrashtachari number 1," said the PM.
