Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will introduce 'Bihu' as an additional subject for the students of classes XI and XII in AHSEC curriculum from the next academic session.

The decision has beentaken in a bid to conserve the traditional practices of Bihu.

The announcement came aday after several educationists came together for a workshop on the ways ofpreservation of Bihu in the city.

"AHSEC to announce the HSSLCresults within May 22": Chairman Dayananda Borgohain said.
