CAB: Villagers hold black flag protest

The opposition against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill continues in the State. The people of the State were seen taking every possible way to protest against the much debated Bill.

On Thursday, people in Goalpara staged one of its kind protests against the Bill. The villagers in Balijan hoisted black flags on both sides of the road. According to reports, Assam State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass slated to take part in a campaign programme for the upcoming Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) election.

It should be noted that black flags were waved at Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in his assembly constituency, Majuli on Monday, January 14, in protests against the Bill.
