CM Sonowal orders CID investigation in Tinsukia oil syndicate case

Assam CM Sonowal on Saturday ordered CID investigation into the Tinsukia oil syndicate case that has rocked the state in last few weeks or so.

A number of people and organisations have previously protested and raised concern over the growing syndicate at the Tinsukia district oil terminal, following which the CM ordered the investigation.

People have alleged that a syndicate has been operating in the district and controlling the demand and supply of oil which also has contributed to the uproar in oil prices indirectly.

It has been also alleged that a number of political and influential people are behind the syndicate.

The CM has assured proper investigation in the matter and has asked the CID to not spare the ones associated with the syndicate.
