Fake notes ‘worth’ Rs. 2 crore seized

Jagiroad Police on Monday seized FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) worth around Rs. 2 crore and fake note printing machines from Dighalbari village under Dharamtul area.

Acting on a tip off, a team of Jagiroad Police conducted a raid in the house of one identified as Ripon Chandra Manta and seized FICN and machines. Police also detained Ripon and his associate Habibur Rahman in connection with the seizure.

Police informed that FICN were seized in the denomination of Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 amounting to Rs. 2 crore.

A case has been registered at Jagiroad Police Station regarding the incident. Further investigation is being conducted.
