The Gauhati University has decided to withdraw the coming summer vacation which falls in the month of July in view of the students facing various difficulties in their regular academic activities due to the lockdown.

"The coming summer vacation which falls in the month of July, has been withdrawn for the University classes and its affiliated Colleges/institutions unless otherwise notified depending on the success of containment of the spread of the novel coronavirus," stated a notification issued by the authorities of the Gauhati University.

Thenotification also stated that the regular activities would resume once thesituation is declared congenial by the Centre and the state government.
