A Class X girl student identified as Sushmita Saikia went missing from Bokakhat.

A resident of Bokakhat's Diphalupathar village, Sushmita was studying at Sankardev Sishu Niketan in Kohora.

Sushmita's father Rupjyoti Saikia has lodged an FIR with the Bokakhat PS.

"She went out of the house under the pretext of going to the market. We suspect she eloped with her "lover"," said her family members.

Police have begun investigating the case and search operation to locate the lost girl has been launched.
