IOC Security Employees launch indefinite strike

Contractualsecurity employees working in the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) have staged anindefinite strike in Digboi Refinery, starting this morning.

The strike has created a chaotic situation and disrupted work in the refinery as the security employees have closed the main door preventing its employees from entering the premises.

Accordingto reports, the employees resorted to protests following a security employee'ssudden exemption from his post in IOC's Delhi Public School (DPS).

The IOCauthorities had deployed its security forces as well as CRPF to control the situation,however, they failed to do so as the protestors were stern on their stance ofcontinuing strike until the employee gets his job back.
