Leopard attacks woman in Guwahati

In a sensational incident, a leopard attacked a woman in Satgaon area in Guwahati on Sunday morning and triggered panic among the residents. The leopard strayed into Pragatinagar locality and entered into a house, where it was cornered in a room.

Locals informed that though they have informed the Forest Department, the officials are yet to arrive on the location to tranquillise the leopard. They further said the adult leopard was on the prowl in the area for the last few days, possibly in search of prey.

Meanwhile, the woman, who was attacked by the leopard, has been identified as Banu Bibi (35) and rushed to Pratiksha Hospital.
