Rhino Poachers Arrested in Kaziranga

Three rhino poachers were arrested from Bagori range of Kaziranga National Park (KNP).

The arrest was made in a joint operation carried out by police, Kaziranga forest officials, and Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB).

A cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the arrested rhino poachers.

The poachers have been identified as Jakhalabandha's Sahidul Islam, and Jiarul Haque and Kampur's Anwar Hussain.

It may be mentioned here that earlier in May, the Darrang Police detained three poachers from Dalgaon.

The arrested poachers were identified as Sagar Singh, Samir Ali, and Maruj Ali.

A .303 rifle, 11 rounds of live bullets were also recovered from the rhino poachers.
