Assamese Filmmaker Rima Das' feature "Bulbul Can Sing" bagged another award at an international film festival. Manoranjan Das won best performance award for the Indian coming of age tale "Bulbul Can Sing" at the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF).

Rima Das' mother Jaya Das received the award on behalf of Manoranjan Das in Singapore on Saturday. "Bulbul Can Sing is Singing :)Creating Suman's character performed by Manoranjan Das was quite a challenge for me.I am extremely happy and thrilled to know he has received Best performance award at Singapore International Film Festival for Asian Feature Film Competition keep blessing.." posted Rima Das on her facebook timeline.

"Bulbul Can Sing" is a coming-of-age drama about a teenage girl, Bulbul, living in a village in Assam, fighting her way through love and loss as she figures out who she really is.
