A son has been accused of killing his 60 year old mother in Bihali's Balipukhuri. The body of the dead mother has been recovered at her sleeping bed.

The deadhas been identified as Sawoni Gowala.

The accused's sister and villagers have alleged that Shambhu Gowala, after being drunk, had killed his mother.

Accordingto reports, the son had been assaulting his mother for a while now and had alsoattempted to kill her for more than once.

Shambhu'sson, who had been a witness of his grandmother being assaulted, stated that hisfather attacked Sawoni, with a shoe, to death.

Sawonihas evident marks of assault on her body.

Policehas detained the accused, Shambhu Gowala.
