In atragic incident, a youth had to lose his life in an attempt to clean a well inGuwahati's Notboma in Hatigaon.

The dead has been identified as Batso Ali, who reportedly died due to lack of oxygen inside the well.

Anotherperson named Jakir Hussain is critically ill after he had gone inside the wellto save Ali.

On beinginformed, a team of the SDRF reached the spot and rescued Hussain from the welland rushed him to the hospital.
