2 die as heavy rain lashes Delhi

Two persons were reported dead on Sunday due to heavy rain that triggered flood across some roads and localities in Delhi.

ANI reported, a person's body was found floating in water near the road under the Minto Bridge which was heavily flooded. The body of a pick-up truck driver was spotted by a trackman Ramniwas Meena working at New Delhi yard.

Meanwhile tragically, another man, 55, was electrocuted to death in Delhi's Jahagirpuri area. 

Heavy rainfall along with lightning and thunderstorm hit parts of Delhi-NCR this morning taking the temperature to 29 degrees celsius. The IMD in its forecast stated, "The rain/thundershowers with lightning over Delhi-NCR region is likely to continue during the next 2-3 hours due to clouds approaching from West/Northwest sector over Delhi. The Delhi radar image shows the cloud movement from the west/northwest sector towards Delhi".
