Pakistan blacklisted

The FinancialAction Task Force (FATF) has placed the Pakistan in the "Enhanced ExpeditedFollow Up List (Blacklist)". FATF's regional affiliate, the Asia-Pacific Group(APG) blacklisted Pakistan for its failure to meet its standards.

Accordingto reports, Pakistan was non-compliant on 32 of the 40 compliance parameters ofterror financing and money laundering. Also Pakistan was adjudged as low as 10on11 effectiveness parameters. The APG took the decision during a meeting in Canberra.

However,the Pakistan Finance Ministry has rejected the reports regarding Pakistan beingblacklisted by the APG.
