Finance Minister tables Economic Survey 2018-19 in RS

The Economic Survey 2018-19 has been tabled in the Rajya Sabha by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today.

The Survey is aimed at acting as a policy guideline to the Union Budget by providing an authoritative, detailed and official annual summary of the current state of the Indian economy.

According to the Survey, the projected GDP growth for the financial year 2019-20 is set at 7%.

It may be noted that Economic Survey 2018-19 has been prepared by Chief Economic Advisor Krishnamurthy Subramanian.
