The Supreme Court on Friday has dismissed the plea seeking postponement of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2022 Exam. A bench led by justice DY Chandrachur heard the case and gave its verdict.
Since Supreme Court's decision on the exam is to NOT postpone it, NEET PG 2022 exam date will now be the same i.e, May 21, 2022.
The exam will be held in offline mode for everyone. More so, NEET PG admit cards will be releasing soon, on May 16, 2022 on the official website - nbe.edu.in.
Even at the beginning of the hearing, Justice DY Chandrachud had remarked that the postponement of NEET exam wasn't a great idea as the exam was only causing a hardship to some student.
The Bench even remarked that there are students who prepared for NEET PG 2022 and it was not right for them.
It was further stated that NEET PG 2022 postponement is likely to create chaos and uncertainity. Moreover, any delay in exam is likely to cause a shortage of doctors as well.
And with 'patient care being paramount,' the NEET PG exam will not be postponed, the apex court said.
NEET PG 2022 postponement demands had grown louder over the last couple of days. Moreover, NEET PG 2022 aspirants were requesting for the deferment of exam by at least 8 to 10 weeks, all owing to the insufficient time they had to prepare for this exam.
Many NEET PG aspirants had taken to social media asking for NEET exam postponement. Their primary reason of postponement was as NEET PG Counselling 2021 had gotten delayed and they didn't have enough time to prepare for the exam.
