IFFI screening two movies for visually impaired

International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is screening two movies this year for the visually impaired persons with special audio described technology as part of Accessible India Campaign.

The first movie of the package Sholay was screened today.

The second film under Accessible India campaign Hichki will be screened to tomorrow. These movies are being shown in collaboration with a Delhi based NGO Saksham.

The audio design gives a visually impaired person a true sense of what is happening on the screen. The idea behind the move is to promote the acceptability of accessibility.

The IFFI's decision to screen accessible films will certainly help in promoting Accessible India campaign in the country.
