In a candid interview with Suman TV, Ram Gopal Varma revealed that the film is inspired by true events from Rajahmundry, a city in Andhra Pradesh. Varma, who also wrote the script, explained that the story reflects the darker side of infatuation and how social media can amplify obsessive behavior.

Though Varma didn’t direct the film himself due to other commitments, he entrusted the direction to Girish Krishna Kamal, ensuring his signature storytelling remained intact.
