What Happened to Shefali Jariwala?

In the early hours of June 28, 2025, Shefali Jariwala was found unresponsive at her residence in Mumbai’s Andheri area. She was immediately rushed to Bellevue Hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others. However, the hospital staff confirmed that the actor had already passed away by the time she arrived.

Mumbai Police received the alert around 1 AM and quickly reached the scene. Forensic experts also joined the investigation, and Shefali’s body was transferred to Cooper Hospital for a detailed postmortem examination.

Dismissing speculations, a police spokesperson clarified:

"Her body was found at her residence in Andheri. The cause of death is not yet clear. We are awaiting the postmortem report to determine what exactly happened."

As of now, statements from four individuals—including her husband—have been recorded, and police have found no suspicious circumstances at this stage.

Public Reaction and Celeb Tributes

News of Shefali’s untimely passing was first shared on social media by journalist Vickey Lalwani. Soon after, tributes began pouring in from across the industry.

Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi, music composer Harry Anand (who launched her in Kaanta Laga), and producer Ashok Pandit expressed their sorrow publicly. Composer Anand wrote:

"I’m in complete shock... it’s hard to believe she is no more. May her soul be embraced by divine peace."

Reality TV star Himanshi Khurana posted a heartfelt tribute, even calling the Bigg Boss house "cursed" due to the recent deaths of contestants like Sidharth Shukla and now Shefali.

Karishma Tanna, Rashami Desai, Mika Singh, Aly Goni, Paras Chhabra, and Tehseen Poonawalla were among many others who shared their grief online. Tehseen wrote:

"Absolutely stunned to hear my friend Shefali Jariwala is no more. Siddharth Shukla and now she, from my season, are gone. Life is so short."

The Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) also issued an official condolence, remembering her vibrant personality and contribution to the industry.
