Tridip Konwar, a serving Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Assam, passed away on Monday while undergoing treatment at Nemcare Hospital in Guwahati. His death comes just days after he reportedly attempted to end his life by jumping from his official government quarter on July 10.

According to sources, ADC Konwar had been battling a prolonged illness for several months. The combination of deteriorating health and mental distress is suspected to have led to the tragic turn of events. Shortly after the incident on July 10, a suicide note—allegedly written by Konwar—was recovered, though its contents have not yet been officially disclosed.
