UK Sees Sharp COVID Rise Due To ‘Relaxation’

The people of UK have relaxed too much. They have been treating the pandemic far too casually.

This was suggested by England's deputy chief medical officer, Prof Jonathan Van, as the rate of COVID-19 infection in UK sees a sharp spike.

A BBC report quoted Van as saying, "People have relaxed too much, now is the time for us to re-engage, and to realise that this a continuing threat to us."

He further warned that if people didn't take things seriously, it would be a "bumpy ride" for UK for the next few months.

As a matter of fact, certain more parts of UK are to face stricter and tougher restrictions following a jump in fresh cases.

Last Sunday, UK posted the highest number of single-day infections since May 22, that is, 2988 cases. The country has also decided on imposing stricter home visit rules.
