1 kg Gold seized at Guwahati Railway Station

The GovernmentRailway Police (GRP) on Sunday morning seized gold at Guwahati Railway station.In the operation launched by the GRP at the railway station, six pieces of goldbiscuits weighing 1 kilogram have been seized from Rajdhani Express and detainedon person in connection to it.

The detainee has been identified as V Mani, who hailsfrom Chennai. GRP sources said that the person was smuggling the gold from upperAssam to Tamil Nadu.

The GRP also informed that the value of the gold isaround Rs. 40 lakh.
