149 Cops of Assam Police Test COVID-19 Positive

A total of 149 Assam Police personnel have been infected with COVID-19 so far, informed Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), GP Singh, through his twitter handle.

Out of the total infected personnel, 30 have recovered from the disease.

Singh in his tweet wrote, "Till July 4th 2020 – @assampolice 149 personnel have tested Covid positive out of whom 30 have recovered. Personnel under home quarantine 1114."

A total of 1,114 police personnel of Assam Police are currently under home quarantine, informed the ADGP.

Assam has so far registered 9,799 COVID-19 positive cases.

On Friday, 365 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Assam. Out of new cases, 134 were reported from Guwahati.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 14 persons in Assam.
