2 NDFB militants killed in Kokrajhar

Two NDFB militants were killed in an encounter with police in Kokrajhar district of Assam on Thursday. The encounter took place between a group of NDFB militants and a Gossaigaon police party in the Indo-Bhutan border.

Theidentities of the slain cadres were yet to be ascertained.

The police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the spot, besides mobile phones and SIM cards.

Asearch operation is on in the Indo-Bhutan border area against the undergroundoutfit, said a top police official.
