2 New Medical Colleges To Open Soon

Ministerfor Health & Family Welfare of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma announced onWednesday that two more medical colleges will be functional from this year.

Sarma said that Diphu Medical College and Lakhimpur Medical College will be operational from this year itself. He also informed that there will be 18 cancer hospitals in the state.

Theminister further stated that the centre has invested many funds for the statehealth department in the last 10 years. He also said that the medical collegesof Assam are much developed than the ones outside the state and the country.
