2-year-old girl buried alive by landslide in Arunachal

In an unfortunate incident, a minor two-year-old girl in Arunachal Pradesh was buried alive when her residence was hit by a landlside in Donyi Colony in Itanagar on Thursday. As per media reports, the landslide was triggered by heavy rains.

The mother of the minor girl was busy washing her dishes outside when the calamity hit her residence. CM of Arunachal Pradesh has reportedly announced the release of an ex gratia amount of Rupees 4 lakhs to next of kin of the deceased.

Meanwhile, a person in Kahilipara, Guwahati also lost his life on Friday due to landslide. The city has been under the spell of sporadic heavy showers for the past couple of days.
