20 journalists selected under Assam Pension Scheme for Journalists

On the occasion of the 73^rd Independence Day, the Assam Government has selected 20 journalists under the state Pension Scheme for Journalists, 2019-20.

According to sources, the 20 retired journalists willreceive an amount of Rs. 8000 per month as pension under the scheme institutedby the information and public relations department of the state government.

The pension will be awarded with effect from April 01, 2019.
