In a recent update, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed 1294 patients have recovered from cornoavirus and were discharged on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 23055 in the state.

The active cases now stand at 7951, while 77 deaths have been reported to date.

The state's total tally of COVID-19 cases is now 31086.
