The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) and Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) have jointly formed the Assam Advisory Committee with the objective to provide safety and security to the indigenous people of the state.
The members of the Committee have been announced through a joint press conference organized by AASU and AJYCP. The members are:

AASU General Secretary Lurin Jyoti Gogoi while speaking to media said that the people of the state wants permanent solution to the burning issues of the state after the regional party which was formed in 1985 has destroyed all the dignity of the state and the indigenous people.
He said that the people want an uncompromising power in the state which would solve the issues of the state and therefore the advisory committee has been formed jointly by AASU and AJYCP for the safety and security of the people of the state.
Later, speaking to the media, AASU Adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya said that the political injustice and betrayal by the government has put the people in quandary.
The 16-member committee has been formed to safeguard the security of the indigenous people of the state and the advisory committee will give advice in the time of need, said Bhattacharya.
