AGP to contest LS polls alone

AGP leader and MLA Satyabrat Kalita on Wednesday said that the regional party would not stitch a tie with the BJP for the coming Lok Sabha polls.

"AGP will contest the Lok Sabha elections on its own. AGP will not do anything that hurt the people of the State," said the leader after the party executive meeting in Ambari, Guwahati.

Earlier, AGP has ended the alliance with BJP on January over the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
