The College, inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal in February this year, is now looming in a clouded future. It may be noted that AICTE had summoned the college authorities to Kolkata in February 28, later, a delegation of experts had come to inspect the college on March 04. Following the inspection, AICTE had refused to give its recognition to the college in an official letter on Tuesday.
According to reports, inadequate teachers and facilities has led the education council to refrain itself from granting recognition to the college.
Expressing concern on the matter, Golaghat MLA Ajanta Neog has stated that it is the result of the Education Department's irresponsibility.
At the same time, Neog has informed that she will meet the CM and the Education Minister on this regard.
On the other hand, students are now worried about their dark future and have urged authorities to take measures as early as possible.
