Amit Shah to visit Assam today

Union Home Minister and BJP president Amit Shah willreach Assam today for a two-day visit to the State. Shah is likely to land atthe Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at around 11 AM.

The Union Minister will attend the 68th PlenarySession of North Eastern Council today. Along with Shah, DoNER Minister JitendraSingh will also attend the session. On the other hand, Shah will also take partin the 4th Conclave of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) on Monday.

Shah is also likely to chair separate meetings with CMSarbananda Sonowal and top functionaries of the Assam government and the StateBJP leadership.

It may be mentioned here that after publication of thefinal NRC, Amit Shah's visit to the State becomes really significant.
