Another boat capsizes in North Guwahati

Another boat capsize incident occurred in North Guwahati on Monday. A country boat carrying goods capsized at Brahmaputra near Monikneshwar temple.

Luckily there were no passengers in the boat and the driver has been rescued. A rescue team has started a search operation in search of the boat.

Earlier in September, four people  lost lives in a boat capsize incident  at Brahmaputra.

It is to be noted that after the tragic  incident of the mechanized country boat on the Brahmaputra River  the transport department had taken the decision of halt the country boat service during monsoon.
