Assam Bangladesh border to get smart fencing

Home Minister Rajnath Singh will kick start the system of smart fencing  at the highly sensitive  Assam Bangladesh border of Dhubri next week.

The smart fencing would help the BSF detect and foil infiltration bids in most difficult terrains, An official statement quoted Singh as saying.

Rajnath Singh  said that the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS)  will  guard stretches where BSF soldiers cannot b deployed either due to inhospitable conditions or riverine borders.

On Monday Home minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated two pilot projects of smart fencing along the Indo-Pak International Border in Jammu.
