Assam boxers claim best team title

Assam became the best team in the 2nd BFI East Zone Elite Men's Boxing Championship held at Shillong on July 3 and 4. In the event, Assam won four gold, two silver and one bronze medal.

The Medal winners are: Mridu Paban Baruah, Ansula Basumatary, Som Pradhan, Tanmoy Dowarah (Gold), Mijing Basumatary, Jupitar Basumatary (Silver), Tridip Kalita (Bronze) – informed Assam Amateur Boxing Association secretary Hemanta Kumar Kalita.
