Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to chair the two-day conference of Deputy Commissioners to be held from Sunday (August 22), informed M.S. Manivannan, Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Assam, General Administration department.
The conference will be held at Diphu, headquarter town of Karbi Anglong district.
Top brass of state administration and Home department will take part in the conference. Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, Commissioner and Special Secretary of all developmental departments of Assam government, Director General of Police will hold discussion on specific areas.
According to reports, the pinnacle summit will take up issues related to government thrust areas; the lined up program of assessment and discussion incorporates- creation of district infrastructure, food and civil supply under the realm of one nation one ration card, land acquisition – allotment and survey of non cad astral land, transport and mines- minerals, forest, Excise- PMKSY- Irrigation, power, social welfare, Jal Jeevan Mission, health, education, P&RD& livelihood, agriculture(PM Kisan), GDD( housing for poor), Fisheries PMMSY, PWRD (PMGSY) PWD(B&H).
Ten selected deputy commissioners will address the virtual government of Assam for fifteen minutes each at the conference and the rest of the conference time has been fixed for the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner and Special Secretary of various departments and Chief Secretary of Assam.
Central road leading to Diphu town has been re-carpeted and marked luminous white. Diphu circuit houses, bungalows, private hotels and resorts have been smartening up with state of the art facilities.
