Assam: COVID-19 recoveries cross 55,000-mark

1929 patients recovered from coronavirus and were discharged on Sunday.

So far, 55215 recoveries have been registered. The current active COVID-19 cases are 21468.

State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the efforts of the frontline workers, "The difference between recovered and active patients is a true reflection of the dedication of our medical teams".
