Assam Detects 169 New COVID Cases, 1 Death

169 new coronavirus cases were detected in Assam out of 25225 tests conducted on Monday, with a positivity rate of 0.67 %.

Out of the new cases, 56 patients were tested positive in Kamrup Metro.

The total active cases now stood at 3179.

Meanwhile, with a recovery rate of 98.02 %, the recoveries have mounted to 207525.

The death tally has touched 975 after one more person succumbed to the virus. He was identified as one Jaswant Kaur (85) from Dibrugarh.

The total caseload of the state is 211682.
