Assam: Four More Succumb To COVID-19

Four more people succumbed to COVID–19 today in the state, taking Assam's total death toll to 57.

The names of the deceased persons are Pramod Chandra Sharma (62), Binapani Das (78), SK Wagle (46) and Prasanta Saikia (74).

While Sarma and Das were from Kamrup Metro, Wagle was from Cachar, and Saikia was from Tinsukia.

This was informed by Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He tweeted, "In an irreparable loss to four families, I am anguished to share that Sri Pramod Chandra Sarma (62, Kamrup Metro), Smt Binapani Das (78, Kamrup Metro), Sri S K Wagle (46, Cachar) and Sri Prasanta Saikia (74, Tinsukia) succumbed to #COVID19."

In an irreparable loss to four families, I am anguished to share that Sri Pramod Chandra Sarma (62, Kamrup Metro), Smt Binapani Das (78, Kamrup Metro), Sri S K Wagle (46, Cachar) and Sri Prasanta Saikia (74, Tinsukia) succumbed to #COVID19.
