The Assam Government will celebrate World Tourism Day with a two-day
Addressing apress conference, Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) Chairman JayantaMalla Baruah said that the Assam tourism will now work with INSTAGRAM as itwill promote the tourism of Assam. INSTAGRAM will promote Assam Tourism by thename 'Discover Assam.'
The Chairmanalso stated that the Raas festival will be taken to the internationallevel and informed that the logo of the festival will be launched on the WorldTourism Day. "This time we will promote the Raas festival in the nationallevel unlike the Ambubachi Mela and Nalbari Raas and Majuli Raas havegot its position," said Baruah.
Baruah furtherinformed that a quiz competition will also be organized among the collegestudents on tourism day. He also addedthat Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the cultural evening at4 pm on September 27.
The ATDC Chairman also stated that on September 28, there will be a discussion with the house stay businessmen associated with tourism. He also said that 28 Home Stay will be launched on the day at Majuli, Kaziranga and other tourist spot.
